Range Shooting and Handgun Practice Session
This is a more relaxed range session with instructors. Participants can shoot under organized and instructor led sessions. Anything that Vigilant Firearms Training has taught to students can be practiced during this session. If you have learned DSF and Drawing from the Holster, you can practice that during this session.
Topics include:
- Quick overview of Universal Safety rules
- Del Norte Range Rules
- Range commands
Practice Session Details:
- $35
- 100 rounds recommended – whatever you bring will work
- 3 hours
- Eye and Ear protection required
- Holster is required
Schedule: Range Day
As previous students will remember, we will go over the same shooting practice and NM CCW shooting qualification exercises as the initial 2 day CCW students. We limit this time to 3 hours and only 6 shooters on the line at once. If it is showing available for registration, then there are slots open. After the initial reminder of the rules, the instructors will provide guidance and distances but you can ask for longer or shorter distances, you can ask for some limited one-on-one instruction for the foundational concepts of shooting (Stance, Grip, Aim, Breath Control, Trigger Control, Follow Through) along with anything else you have been taught. The amount of ammunition is not set but at least 100 rounds is a good idea. This is limited to handguns and handgun caliber rifles.
